For those who are looking for adventure, sports and recreation, Westendorf offers an unlimited number of opportunities to enjoy the winter.
Westendorf is situated in one of Austria's largest connected skiing area, SKIWELT WILDER KAISER BRIXENTAL Together with skiing area KITZBÜHEL-KIRCHBERG they offer no less than 500 kilometres of slopes and approximately 150 lifts. Both areas have been elected several times as the best ski area in the world.
A variety of fantastic ski slopes of various difficulties offers ambitious skiers, snowboarders, families and beginners the ultimate skiing experience. Perfectly prepared ski slopes guarantee the finest descents. You can relax in one of the cosy mountain huts, and enjoy the beloved traditional dishes, such as the Kaiserschmarr´n, Käsespätzle and Tiroler Gröstl.
Snowboarders, freestylers and daredevils can let off steam in the ´BOARDERS PLAYGROUND', a fun park with 650 meters of different rails, kickers, boxes and obstacles.
For children, snow is always an adventure and snowy Westendorf is therefore the perfect location, sporting numerous children's ski courses, attentive (Dutch) instructors and wide snow-covered meadows to frolic, build snowmen and have snowball fights.
APART Resort Westendorf is the starting point of the cross-country skiing trails around Westendorf . Over 16 kilometres of well-maintained trails lead through a gorgeous winter landscape, across the golf course to the Auner forest and the other way around. Be amazed and enjoy the beautiful views.
The valleys in the area are home to some rare natural landscapes. Here, winter is like a wonderful fairytale. The perfect starting point for a fantastic ski tour.
A hike in the snow-covered winter land, a toboggan ride or a guided snow shoe hike, Westendorf also has plenty to offer away from the ski slopes. The tourist board daily offers guided walks and snow shoe tours for the entire family. If you would like to do something more thrilling, go for a crazy toboggan ride through the beautiful Windau Valley. Romantics can explore the captivating winter landscape with a horse-drawn carriage.
